Wendy�s Low Fat Penne Pasta with Mushroom Sauce

Serves 4


  • 1 8oz Box Fiber Gourmet Light Penne Pasta
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups variety of mushrooms, cleaned, stemmed and chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • A few drops hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry Italian parsley
  • 1/2 cup FF Half & half
  • 1 cap full brandy & rum extract
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter substitute powder (Butter Buds)
  • 1 T Chicken Broth powder
  • 1 can 98% FF Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 Tablespoons Corn starch
  • Optional: add Cooked Chicken or Beef


  1. Add all sauce ingredients except corn starch to pot and cook on low. Simmer 1/2 hour to blend flavors.
  2. Stir cornstarch in a little water and add at the end of cooking time to thicken sauce.
  3. Cooked pasta according to package directions
  4. Serve sauce over pasta
